Military Costumes

The time of the year wherein you can see many people, especially children, wearing costumes is during Halloween. Although wearing costumes and dressing up can be done all year around and during any special occasion. Perhaps that’s the same reason why people tends to choose costumes that are not too costume-y and that have more real-life designs just like the air force costume.

Air Force is a unit in the armed forces that is highly respected and dignified. It is also popular because of the movies like Air Force One, Pearl Harbor and the likes. That is why air force costume is one popular choice for kids, teen-agers and adults. Besides it is also has simple and comfortable designs. There are few air force costume designs available in the market, but there are different versions depending on gender and age.

For young girls air force costume design includes a simple one-piece dress with front Velcro closure, emblem replicas, winged air force badge and pilot hat. This design is available in different colors; white, black, green and fatigue.

Air force costume for boys have a simple jumpsuit design with Velcro or zipper front closure, designed with pilot badges and emblems and pilot hat. It has two side pockets and a small collar. Another design available for boys is the air force junior pilot. It is also a one-piece jumpsuit but has gartered-waist, zippered pockets and gold lining on the side. And instead of pilot hat, it is accessorized with air force style helmet with retractable shield.

Designs available for adult men are limited; it is a simple one-piece, green flight suit with air force-like emblem on the chest and a Velcro front closure. It also has knee patch, side pockets and small collar. Air force costume for men also includes a simple green hat with emblem in front.

As always, costume designs for women are almost endless. One popular design is the tight fitting green jumpsuit with badges and emblem details, red lining, gold buttons and black belt. It also has green hat with red ling and air force emblem. Another air force costume for women is the one-piece dress with embroidered badges and emblem, cropped jacket and army barrette. This version is available in different colors; green, black, cream and khaki. Another version is the pin-down dress with gold stripe details on sleeves and collar and with lower necklines. It comes with pilot hat and available in green or black.

Because it has simple one-piece design you can accessorize your air force costumes by using boots and shades and add medal replicas, dog tags and gloves, which are all sold separately. Air force costume usually comes in lightweight fabrics like polyester and cotton and can be either hand wash or machine wash. To preserve the color and quality of your costumes, you must follow simple washing instructions inserted in every package. Plus you must also store it properly to keep it away from insects and dusts.
