Military Costumes

Nowadays, costumes are becoming simple and less complex. Monster-like and fantasy-like creatures are becoming more song of yesteryear. Costume designs are leaning towards pop-culture and they are mostly are based on popular people or occupations. One of these recently becoming popular costume designs is the Navy costume.

Unlike other costumes, navy costumes come in different versions and styles. It just takes the trademark patterns and colors of authentic navy uniforms and the rest, as they say, is history.

A navy costume can come in different designs and it depends very much on age and gender: for kids - boys and girls and for adult men and women.

Most kids navy costumes for boys are based on the navy admiral. They come with long sleeves, white top with black and gold stripes on the collar and sleeves, white wide-bottom pants with black and gold stripes on the side and white navy hat with black and gold details and badge.

For girls, navy costumes usually have the “sailor-moon” touch on it. It comes with plain white or navy blue skirt, white top with navy collar and stripes and navy hat. Other designs are one-piece navy blue or white dress with navy collar and stripe details; a simple costume with a simple touch and navy influence. Other versions even come in girly colors of pink, yellow and lilac.

Adult navy costume versions for men are more serious and are near-replicas of authentic navy uniforms. For adult men, navy costumes usually come in a two-piece navy blue or black costumes. The top or jacket has long sleeves with white stripe details on collar and sleeves and tie details. The pants usually are plain navy blue or black. The package also comes with a white plain sailor hat. Other versions have sexier twist; with tight sleeveless shirt or tight stretchable pants.

Navy costumes for adult women are more on the sexy side even bordering on naughty. Mostly they have got a short white or navy blue skirt, tight fitting or quite skimpy blouse with navy collar and stripe details and plain white navy hat. Another navy costume version for women is the one-piece tight fitting black or navy blue jumpsuit or dress with red or white lining, wide black belt and black navy hat.

Although navy costumes are less popular than army costumes, they offer wide range of designs and versions. And as dressing up is all about fun and excitement, there’s no doubt that navy costumes can deliver as well.

And to make sure that you will enjoy your navy costumes for long time. You must take care of it properly. Make sure to wash your costume after every use and before storage. Never use bleach on colored fabrics to protect colors from fading and always follow washing instruction that comes with every costume package.
